November 18th has been set as the date for the Wii U to be released. There will be two different Wii U options to choose from, Basic (White) will cost $299.99, while Wii U Deluxe (Black) will cost $349.99 in North America. The 8GB Basic set includes a white console, matching white GamePad, AC adapters for both console and GamePad, Sensor Bar and an HDMI cable. Meanwhile, the black 32GB Deluxe set includes Nintendo Land, stands for both the console and the GamePad, a GamePad charging cradle and everything else that normally comes in the Basic set. Purchasing the Deluxe set also includes membership in the "Deluxe Digital Promotion," which rewards points for digital purchases that can later be used to buy eShop wares.
Nintendo TVii which will allow users to watch movies, sports and television via the Wii U. This service will include social features, allowing users to connect to Twitter, Facebook and other social services.
It features a personalized program guide, which combines everything on your TV , such as Netflix and Hulu Plus, and your DVR. Users get their own profile, The TVii will also make program recommendations based on the profile.
With TVii you can see what your friends are watching, mark favorite shows and schedule a DVR recording. The sports section allows users to check scores, check highlights and, the best part, watch live games. Nintendo TVii will be available in both the United States and Canada. TVii will support all cable and dish carriers in the US and Canada. This will be a free service for all users.
