Super Mario 3D Land Cartridge Contains New November Firmware Update Elements

Super Mario 3D Land has launched in Japan and reports are coming in that say there is a small firmware update included with the game. The firmware adds features including:

• a button that allows you to join a friend’s game online directly from the Friend’s List.
• a feature that automatically moves friends who are online to the top of the Friend’s List.
• the ability to scroll through your Friend’s List more quickly by pressing Left or Right on both the Circle Pad and the D-Pad.

There’s no word yet on whether these features will be included in the larger firmware update coming later this month, but I’d be surprised if they weren’t.
