Nintendo revealed more details today for Mario Tennis Open, which launches on May 20th and Europe May 25th.

"The Special Games mode in Mario Tennis Open lets players hone their tennis skills while enjoying tennis games with a Mario twist. Players can check out games such as Super Mario Tennis, which puts a classic Super Mario Bros. twist on tennis drilling. As they play through familiar game levels, they can use their tennis swing to stomp Goombas and Koopas along the way.

People can play as their favorite characters from the Mushroom Kingdom or even compete as their Mii characters. They can also customize their Mii characters with Mushroom Kingdom-themed tennis gear, which not only enhances players’ appearances but also can boost their stats. The wide selection of available gear includes Bowser’s favorite racket, a Bullet Bill outfit and Peach’s tennis shoes.

In addition to a singles tennis match mode, another mode in the game lets up to four players compete online in multiplayer doubles matches. Players can also compete online for leaderboard standings in Open Match.

When playing with other Nintendo 3DS owners in the same room* or against distant competitors using a wireless broadband Internet connection, players can cooperate to take on a common opponent or stay competitive and try to claim the glory for themselves. Players can opt to use intuitive touch-screen controls or increase their strategic options with traditional button controls. They can also switch seamlessly to the Nintendo 3DS system’s built-in motion controls.

This was a rumor that was being reported by several different sources yesterday. I was putting off posting this up. But news is news.
A listing for Animal Crossing on the 3DS has appeared on Amazon’s French website and has set the game’s release date to the 28th of September. The data found from retailers isn’t always the most accurate to work with, but I know how many Animal Crossing fans read this blog, so hopefully this can make you salivate for a little while longer until we have an actual release date.

A listing for the game recently appeared on Amazon's French website and has the game release date for September 28th. The information from Amazon is really not the most accurate and this is why I was putting off reporting it. But knowing how many Animal Crossing fans are out there (Including myself) I felt that i should report it anyway.

Square Enix just announced the release dates for  Kingdom Hearts 3D and Theatrhythm Final Fantasy.

These two games are well worth playing and adding to your game collection!

Pokemon x Nobunaga’s Ambition comes to North America as Pokemon Conquest

REDMOND, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– A creative new entry in the Pokémon family of video games delivers a new way for fans to enjoy this legendary series on the Nintendo DS family of systems. Pokémon Conquest, set to launch on June 18, offers a fun new way to play Pokémon in a unique world called Ransei that is filled with adventure. Developed by TECMO KOEI GAMES Co., Ltd., the 2D game can also be played on the Nintendo 3DS system.

In Pokémon Conquest, players take on the role of a young Warlord who is linked with a Pokémon. Together, they must set out to recruit Warrior allies to strengthen their growing kingdom. Along their journey, players will encounter a variety of Pokémon, as well as Warriors and Warlords inspired by the Japanese feudal era. The game contains nearly 200 Pokémon, including many from the recent Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version games, which have sold more than 4 million copies combined in the United States.

As the battlefield unfolds in Pokémon Conquest, players must choose the correct Pokémon type to inflict maximum damage on their opponents. In the turn-based skirmishes, players choose different tactics for intense six-on-six battles, and battle conditions can change on every turn, keeping players on their toes in anticipation of what will happen next.

“Pokémon fans are always interested in playing in new environments and experiencing new adventures,” said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “Pokémon Conquest gives them an entirely new way to enjoy this beloved series, with exciting new settings, fierce battles and nearly 200 Pokémon to team up with.”

Kid Icarus: Uprising AR cards were added to the UK version of Club Nintendo a couple of weeks ago. North American fans have been wondering if a similar reward would be made available in North America. Fortunately, the answer appears to be yes!

A NOA customer service representative wasn’t able to provide an availability date for the cards, but confirmed that Nintendo “are indeed working on it”.

The representative said:

“Thank you for your feedback on the Club Nintendo services. I have forwarded your message to the appropriate department.

“It is already our plan to release the cards on the Club Nintendo Rewards Program. When they well be available is still undecided but we are indeed working on it!”
